Major Traffic Disruptions Across New York State: I-90 and I-490 Incidents Cause Delays in Hudson, Geneva, Buffalo, and Rochester

Simultaneously, at 5:29 PM, another incident took place on the I-90 NYS Thruway westbound before Exit 42 near Geneva, close to Route 14. This region, nestled in the Finger Lakes area, is a vital corridor for travelers heading towards the western parts of New York. The crash caused traffic to slow, affecting the flow of vehicles in this picturesque part of the state.

Further west, at 5:29 PM, a crash occurred on the I-90 NYS Thruway westbound after Exit 53, impacting traffic heading towards Buffalo and the Canadian border via I-190. Buffalo, known for its vibrant downtown and proximity to Niagara Falls, faced congestion as a result of this incident.

Additionally, at 5:30 PM, a crash on I-490 eastbound at Mount Read Boulevard in Rochester blocked one of the three lanes. Rochester, a city renowned for its cultural institutions and historical significance, experienced traffic delays as commuters navigated around the blocked lane.
